This new report reaffirms lessons learned in the 1970s and 1980s that nuclear power's business risks are excessive. The report concludes that generation costs/kWh for new nuclear (including fuel & O&M but not distribution to customers) are likely to be from 25 to 30 cents/kWh, far higher than costs for fossil-fueled or renewable energy.
