I got a surprise in the mail today...Andy Field's THIRD EDITION.
It is a work of beauty :-). Bigger than ever, full color, lots of funny faces :-). In addition, it has expanded material (the book is now as fat as old-and-new testament in large print :-]).
He has even added a chapter on hierarchical linear modeling that, in Andy style, is as accessible as anything ever written. I'll be adding that to the multivariate class this semester.
I have only skimmed, but it seems like a completely worthwhile upgrade for those with $100 to spend.
Need to know more? I think you can check at:
Running characters (some repeated) in the book include Brian Haemorrhage, Cramming Sam, Labcoat Lemi and so many more. There are even new self-test questions all through the book.
Just a lot of fun! There is now a full page of student kudos (probably the idea of the publisher)...but they wax eloquent about what the book has done for them.
