RE: Spring 2009 updates about Graduate Education policies and procedures
Happy spring semester! Here are some updates about policies and procedures related to graduate education. We truly appreciate your efforts and thank you for your dedication to the graduate students and graduate education.
1. Deadlines: PLEASE make certain you and your students know the deadlines for this semester. Due to a 42% decrease in graduate school records staff, and a 33% decrease in editorial staff, we can no longer offer exceptions to any of the published deadlines.

Editorial Office is located in Room 224, HUB (same building as the International Center)
2. Petitions: Low GPA or registration adjustments need to be submitted to Dr. Bradley by Wednesday, January 21.
3. Concurrent or nontraditional master's/doctoral students: The forms are provided online in GIMS, and should be completed electronically by the staff, not students. Handwritten forms will be returned, unprocessed.
4. GIMS updates: We have made several enhancements to GIMS during the past few months. Use this link to review the GIMS data elements for individual students, and the unit to contact to make corrections. http://gradschool.ufl.edu/downloads/gims-display-coordinators-staff.pdf
