Good evening BESTSers,
A new invention called a Vegawatt is a small-scale,
on-site cogeneration plant that produces energy from used cooking
oil. It's predicted to save restaurants $800/month. The greatest
part is that it is entirely automated and self-contained with no
additional inputs or outputs. The next step is to expand this
technology to biogas production, which could handle all of the
restaurants food waste. Every restaurant or anyplace where food
waste is produced could then be recycling their food waste
on-site.
