This Thursday BEST Society will be tabling at the Museum of
Natural History (Located on 34th and Hull Rd)for the Museum Nights
Earth Day celebration. The details for the event are below. There
are many exciting things to do like watch WALL-E, make your own
shopping bag, decorate a bowl made of recycled materials and
finally the Earth Day trivia game!
We need help tabling for the event, so please reply to me and let
me know if you are able to help at the table any time from 6-9pm.
This will be fun and a great way to let people know about our
Society. If you can't table I still encourage you to come to the
event and stop by to say hello!

Museum Nights gets ???down and earthy??? April 16!!
Celebrate our beautiful planet at Museum Nights this Thursday from
6 ??? 9 p.m. at the Harn Museum of Art and the Florida Museum of
Natural History.
Think that you are ???green??? savvy? Come test your knowledge of
energy use and sustainability information with ???green???
Jeopardy at the Harn Museum. The game will be held from 6:30 to
7:30. Remember, whether it???s Recycling for $200 or Renewable
Resources for $1,000, all answers must be in the form of a
question!
The Harn will show ???Wall-E??? at 7 p.m. Follow the journey of a
small, waste-collecting robot who embarks on an exciting space
adventure to save mankind.
Visitors can also decorate their own eco-friendly shopping bag and
create a bowl out of recycled records from 6 to 9 p.m.
The featured exhibition at the Harn Museum is Landscape
Perspectives: Highlights from the Photography Collection. The
exhibition features a selection of photographs, dated from the
1860s to recent years, that celebrates the beauty of the American
landscape and explores how human presence has transformed and
often threatened our natural environment. Harn Education
Coordinator for Adult and Docent Programs Rebecca Fitzsimmons will
discuss the artworks on display during an exhibition walk-through
at 7:30 p.m.
At the Florida Museum of Natural History, the band Bang Bang Boom
will be playing from 7 to 8 p.m.. Admission to the Butterfly
Rainforest is free on this evening.
At both the Harn and the Florida Museum, local organizations will
offer information about sustainability. These organizations will
provide information about how you can do your part to help make
the environment a more beautiful place. Free food and drinks will
be provided.
Sponsored by UF Student Government, Museum Nights offers
programming and entertainment planned by students, for students.

Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art
The Harn Museum of Art at SW 34th St. and Hull Rd. is one of the
largest university art museums in the country with nearly 7,000
works in its collection focusing on African, Asian, modern and
contemporary art and photography. The museum enhances the
activities of the University of Florida and serves a culturally
diverse audience through educational programming. Admission is
free. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday,
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Parking is free
on weekends. The Camellia Court Caf?? is open seven days a week

Florida Museum of Natural History
The Florida Museum of Natural History is Florida's state natural
history museum, dedicated to understanding, preserving and
interpreting biological diversity and cultural heritage. It is
located near the intersection of Southwest 34th Street and Hull
Road in the University of Florida Cultural Plaza in Gainesville.
Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
Butterfly Rainforest admission is $9.50 for adults ($8 Fla.
