Happy Friday BESTers,
Food waste is not just for the gas tank, but for the whole
car. A British team develops a race car built from food waste and
non-food crop fibers, and is powered by bio-diesel. This is
definitely one of the most unique uses a food waste I've seen.
(Perhaps in the future it won't be all that unique, however).
Innovations like this demonstrate that we can effectively tap into
our waste products for the resources we need, as raw materials
become scare and difficult to recover.
