Hi ATM'ers,
I own a Astrowin binocular power switch. What it does is allow you to
connect a binocular viewer to your telescope and then, merely by pushing
on one of two slides, insert
a lens in front of the eyepieces that either increases the power of the
eyepiece or decreases it. Pretty cool. But, does it work, and how
does it compare to swapping eyepieces to
obtain the same magnification in your telescope?
I would like to find this out. the results would either be shared in
the Firstlight, or perhaps on the web via Cloudy nights or some other
venue.
So, what I propose is that we start testing it. By Christmas, I would
like so useful comments on its performance.
Is anyone interested?
Let me know.

PS Last night I found M-73. Man, Messier was on some sort of drugs if
he thought it was a comet.... but I have only M-72 to complete my
Messier list. It is gonna happen in 2009!
