currently I am working on a research project collecting data on
egocentric networks. To get information about connected egocentric
network components we use the snowball approach to iteratively combine
I found several papers about snowball sampling, sources of bias and also
examples for studies on hidden or hard-to-reach populations. What I
haven't found yet are examples of studies using random ego-seeds to
start a snowball survey chain, for example, of friendship networks.
Can you please help me and direct me to studies dealing with this topic?
Thanks for your efforts,
