The application process for 2010 Jefferson Science Fellowships is now open. The deadline is 15 February 2010. This fellowship is open to tenured academic scientists and engineers from US institutions of higher learning. Fellows spend one year at the US Department of State or the US Agency for International Development in Washington DC, which also may involved extended stays at US foreign embassies or missions. ...be a scientist, technologist or engineer in a tenured faculty position at a US college or university.
...successfully compete and maintain government security clearances if chosen for a fellowship.
The applicant's academic institution must sign a memorandum of understanding with the US Department of State in order to be considered as a finalist.
