RE:     DECEMBER 13: DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR 2011 L'OREAL USA FELLOWSHIPS FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE


L'Oreal USA Fellowships for Women in Science is now accepting applications for five fellowships of up to $60,000 each.

Applicants must:

(1) Be female scientists, who will have completed their PhD degree and started in a postdoctoral research position by September 1, 2011.

(2) Be American-born, naturalized citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

(3) Be affiliated with a US-based academic or research institution.

(4) Conduct their postdoctoral studies and research in the United States.

(5) Be involved in computer science, engineering, life sciences, material sciences, mathematics, physical sciences or technology.

The application process opens today. 

The deadline for applications is Monday, December 13, 2010.

Awards will be announced in April 2011.
