The UF Student Society for Musicology (SSM) is holding its interdisciplinary symposium this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. in MUB 121. Our theme this year is "Media, Culture, and Mediating Culture." There will be ten presentations from students from various departments at the University of Florida, with a few from off campus as well.

The keynote speaker will be ethnomusicologist Professor Emanuel Dufrasne of Universidad de Puerto Rico, who will be speaking about early wax cylinders of Puerto Rican folk music.

Free lunch will be provided. The symposium program is provided below.
