RE: McKnight Doctoral Fellowship Deadline: Jan. 15, 2010
This is to remind everyone that the deadline for eligible students to apply for the McKnight Doctoral Fellowships is January 15, 2010. The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship program is designed to address the under-representation of African American and Hispanic faculty at colleges and universities in the state of Florida by increasing the pool of citizens qualified with Ph.D. degrees to teach at the college and university levels. Last year, UF received 12 of the 38 fellowships awarded statewide. This year, we would like to exceed that total, if possible.
Funding includes a stipend of $12,000, tuition and fees for a maximum of five years. Applicants must be U.S. citizens beginning their Ph.D. in Fall 2010. Please forward this information to any students who may be eligible and encourage them to apply.
