This is a 3-credit (S/U) course required of any international graduate teaching assistant whose first language is not English who scores a 45 or 50 on a SPEAK/TSE test, or 23 - 27 on a TOEFL-IBT Speaking section and who is appointed to teach. ASEP1 - Formerly EAP5835
EAP5835 is now offered as a NON-CREDIT, fee-based course which is NOT eligible for a tuition waiver. The new ASEP1 course is divided into two 7-week sections. The purpose of this course is to help students improve their SPEAK or TOEFL iBT speaking scores. Students register for this course at http://xms.dce.ufl.edu/reg/groups/eli/ase.aspx. The cost of this course is $500 per section.

ASEP3 - Formerly EAP5837
