Hello BESTers,
Here's a little tidbit from Sri Lanka. A local man has
developed a small-scale portable digester to handle a household's
food waste. It can treat about 2 kilograms per day and is about
the size of a small refrigerator. Small-scale digesters are ideal
for all types of situation from a rural family living off-the-grid
to a small farmer producing fertilizer and energy from waste to a
restaurant saving money on waste disposal. Everyone can benefit
from small-scale, food waste digestion.
Have a great weekend,
Ryan
