Greetings, Omaha System colleagues:

Hot off the press:

Comparing Maternal Child Health Problems and Outcomes Across Public Health
Nursing Agencies (A publication of the Minnesota Omaha System User Group)

Karen A. Monsen, Jayne A. Fulkerson, Amy B. Lytton, Lila L. Taft,
Linda D. Schwichtenberg, Karen S. Martin

Hot new on-line resource:

The Omaha System is alive and well in Wikipedia! It is a “stump” that
refers surfers to other on-line Omaha System resources, and links within
Wikipedia to other informatics articles.

Hot new initiative:

The Minnesota Omaha System User Group and colleagues in Washington,
California, Wisconsin, and Nebraska are working together to develop a
useful inter-rater reliability resource for Omaha System KBS ratings.
Anyone interested in participating can find more information on the home
page of the Minnesota Omaha System User Group.

Hot-footed traveler:

I have had the great fortune to live, work, and study in New Zealand for
three months during an academic leave. It was wonderful to meet many
colleagues with a similar passion for improving population health through
informatics. New Zealand is awesome! I’m happy to share a presentation
from March 2010 that features scenic views of none other than Omaha Beach,
New Zealand.

Best regards,
Karen Monsen
