Hello BESTers,
An exciting development out of India! A small-scale, affordable
digester has been developed for food waste digestion. The units
are currently available for individual households and
institutions. India has been one of the leaders in developing
small-scale digesters (mainly for animal waste), but are now
branching into utilizing household food waste. The great thing
about these digesters is that they are not only for developing
countries, but have great potential for developed counties in
rural, suburban, and urban areas. Could this be the beginning of
the off-the-shelf digester technology the world needs?
Have a great weekend,
Ryan
