Hello BESTers,
This article out of the UK warns of the huge problems caused
by a shortage of global phosphorous, and calls for anaerobic
digestion to be implemented to recover phosphorous in our wastes.
There is no substitute for this essential nutrient, and once we
run out, we will have a serious dilemma. The only sustainable
option is to recover the phosphorous and other nutrient that we
currently bury in landfills, and if we can do so while producing
energy, all the better.
Have a great weekend,
Ryan
