RE: McKnight Doctoral Fellowship - Call for Applications
The UF Office of Graduate Minority Programs is requesting your assistance in encouraging eligible applicants to submit an application for the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship. The attached flyer details the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship (MDF) application process. All new PhD applicants seeking the MDF for the 2011-2012 admission cycle must use the online application process. The application can be completed at www.fefonline.org/mdfapply/ after August 1, 2010.

The OGMP partners with the Florida Education Fund to administer the McKnight fellowship for African American and Hispanic Students. The program, established during the 1984-85 academic year, is designed to increase the representation of African American and Hispanic doctoral students in doctoral programs at Florida Universities. Each fellow receives an annual stipend of 12,000 with tuition and fee waivers for a maximum of five years.
Eligibility Requirements: The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship is limited to students who are U.S. citizens and are newly admitted into a doctoral program at the University of Florida.
Fellowship Application Process: Application for the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship must be submitted directly to the Florida Education Fund prior to January 15th of each year for consideration for funding the following fall term. Students are notified of their status by late March of each year.
