RE: Deadline for Applications for New York State Senate Fellowships, April 15
The New York State Senate Fellowships program is now accepting applications for Legislative Fellowships, the Richard J. Roth Journalism Fellowship, the Richard A. Wiebe Public Service Fellowship and the James L. Biggane Fellowship in Finance.
Open to all majors, these fellowships provide an unparalleled opportunity to become a part of government, gain experience in public service and learn how legislatures operate.
All fellowships are on-site in Albany, New York.
Fellowships include a grant-in-study stipend of $32,000, distributed in biweekly installments, with some benefit options available (health, dental, vision, life insurance and retirement plan).
The fellowships run from Thursday, September 8, 2011 through Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
The deadline to apply for them is Friday, April 15, 2011.
Fellows must be United States citizens and, in most cases, full-time matriculated graduate students at an accredited university during the spring and fall semesters before the date of the fellowship.
