RE: UF Public Speaking Lab Open to Help You
If you feel the need for help with your public speaking skills for classroom or professional presentations, the UF Public Speaking Lab is here for you. Located in 410 Rolfs Hall, the lab is free and open to students, teaching assistants, faculty and alumni. It offers help with brushing up on public speaking skills through:
Videotaping of speeches and feedback
Reviews of speech outlines
Help with making your delivery engaging and powerful
Preparation for thesis and dissertation defense
Help with speech anxiety
Guidance on speeches given during interview processes
Preparation for conference presentations
Feedback on team presentations
The speech lab's walk-in hours for Fall 2011 are:
Mondays: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 11:45 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursdays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Fridays: 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
(At the present time, the lab is unable to take appointments; walk-in service is available.)
