Hello BESTers,
Some of you may have heard of freeganism, but for those that
haven't, it's a movement that "dumpster-dives" for discarded food with
which to feed themselves, friends and families, and the hungry. While
most people would cringe at the thought of each something out of a
dumpster, freegans are very passionate that edible should not be
wasted, and I give them credit for walking the walk. These two
articles, one out of Ohio and the other out of Australia, describe two
accounts of freeganism. It may not be for everyone, but freegans
certainly take to heart that food waste is not waste until wasted.
Have a good weekend,
Ryan
