Welcome to the joys of the New Madrid Fault system. We here in Indiana
get ratteled a bit from time to time. Usually about once a year
depending on the magnitude. The largest I have experienced has been
about a 5.6 or so. It is enough so that you know something happened.
The current hypothesis is that what we are experiencing are
aftershocks from the big quake... over a hundred years ago!
Though I hate science news from mainstream media, this is an article
from Live Science on MSNBC. It was the easiest thing I can find fast...
The article mentions where and when the paper was published.

Just saw on the news that there was an earth quake in the Fl panhandle
this evening. Weird huh!?! The epicenter was in alabama. What do you
all think caused that? I know we got some big brains in this
group-anyone have any ideas?
