OK, I am a very infrequent poster, and know that I may be missing something big here, but will jump in this time hoping to learn something in the process. There a number of very sophisticated ERM products currently available. Their functionality has been worked out in the client -server environment. Why, then, is it a bridge too far for this level of functionality to be offered in the cloud? I've read many articles about how there is no retention in the cloud, etc. Are there any examples of ERM operating successfully in the cloud? I am left wondering is the problem a) security b) RM functionality does not transfer that easily to the cloud c) it is more profitable for the ERM companies to keep doing things the traditional way d) this service will only be provided when enough of the potential market demands it?
