Dear colleagues,
This is a reminder that the deadline for registration for the International
Summer Course "The Measurement of Personal Networks" is approaching. This
course (4 - 8 July 2011, UAB, Barcelona) is intended for PhD students and
researchers who are interested in the design of personal network studies.
The program includes a comparison of a variety of name generators, a
discussion of name interpreters, reliability and validity of the measures,
respondent burden etc. In addition, mixed method designs in personal network
research will be discussed among other issues. Participant will have
hands-on sessions with EgoNet, E-NET, Vennmaker and visone, each given by
researchers who are directly involved in the development of these programs.
At the end of the week, the participants of the course attend the
International Seminar "Personal Networks: Methods and Applications"; the
program of this seminar can now be downloaded from

Registration deadline: June 20th, 2011.
