A food waste digester is planned for construction in Columbia, SC. The
digester will take food waste from the University of South Carolina and
the surrounding community. I've long said that universities are ideal
locations for the implementation of food waste diversion programs. It
is exciting to see food waste digestion finally come to the Southeast.
