RE: Verify your active graduate students by October 31 to prepare for the annual PhD Assessment Report
As we get ready to pull the data for the annual PhD Assessment Report, we ask academic units to verify the active students that are listed for your department's PhD programs on GIMS.
Please log in to GIMS, go into "Department Data" and click on "Active graduate students in this department". You will see the list of Active Students in all the programs in your department. You may download this list in an Excel file by clicking the button that says "Download Report as Excel File".
You may sort the data in the Excel to look at only the PhD students whose Degree Status indicate "Active - Registered". Please note that these students will be the only ones counted in the PhD Assessment Report as "currently enrolled" students.
You may have some listed whose Degree Status may indicate "Active - Not Registered". Please note too that those students will not be counted as "currently enrolled".
If you come across any discrepancies, please contact the Graduate School Office of Data Management at [log in to unmask] by October 31, 2011 to resolve any issues.
