One of the following positions, based on education and experience:
=> Modeler (WL, Working level, formerly Modeler 1) Entry Salary: $3,253.19/month. Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline with documented proof of extensive experience/proficiency in mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis.
=> Modeler (AL, Advanced level, formerly Modeler 2) Entry Salary: $3,588.60/month. Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline with documented proof of extensive experience/proficiency in mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis, and the ability to interpret/modify existing models as needed, and to formulate scenarios for model testing and evaluation.
=> Modeler (SP, Supervisory level, formerly Modeler 3) Entry Salary: $3,940.02/month. Completion of a bachelors degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline with documented proof of extensive experience/proficiency in mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis, and the ability to interpret/modify existing or to develop new models as needed, and to formulate scenarios for model testing and evaluation, and experience in conducting research/evaluation of new or unfamiliar models for potential use in analyzing and support of planning objectives or of actions concerning specific resource characteristics as regulatory tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to applicants with an advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Water Resources and/or other related disciplines in Earth Sciences. Preference may be given to applicants with experience in mathematical modeling of river/reservoir systems.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in HEC 5, HEC-ResSim, HEC-RAS, BASINS and/or other related water resource models.
Preference may be given to applicants with prior GIS experience.
Preference may be given to applicants with computer software experience (e.g. programming languages, code/decode in STELLA platform).
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in data analysis and statistics.
