RE: Apply by January 14: Moderator for the 8th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences
The Florida Society of the Social Sciences (F3S) invites you to be a paper session moderator at the 8th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences (CSS). The conference, themed "Envisioning Common Ground," will be held at the University of Florida, all day Saturday February 16, 2013. Your responsibilities as a session moderator include choosing the session topic, finding the presenters, and facilitating the presentations on the day of the conference.
This is an interdisciplinary conference that provides graduate and undergraduate students from diverse fields of the social sciences the opportunity to showcase their research in a collegial environment and to network with other social science students/researchers on campus.
All graduate social science students are eligible to be session moderators. Each session is composed of 3-4 undergraduate or graduate student presentations (the moderator may be included in the 3-4 presentations). You do not need to have all of the presenters confirmed at the time of submission. However, you must confirm the entire session (session title, presenters, and presentation titles) with F3S by January 29.
To apply to be a moderator, please e-mail the following information in an attachment to F3S President Lisa Christiansen at [log in to unmask]:
