"The density is often regarded as an important structural attribute to
describe social networks. This contribution presents theoretical
considerations on density in context with ego-centred network analysis. In
the following, it introduces a commonly used method to measure density in
ego-networks and contrasts it with an alternative proposal. The paper
concludes with an outlook on future research."
