publishing at the University of Florida. This email is being distributed to quite a
few mailing lists so that we can receive the broadest input possible. We

UF IT believes that an enterprise-wide Web Content Management (WCM) system
could bring significant benefits to the University: enabling more functional
websites, increasing our agility, improving productivity, enhancing the
experience of our website visitors, improving security and reducing costs,
among many others.
The Web Content Management task force was recently formed to study this
opportunity and make a recommendation to the UF IT governance structures by
The task force has created a brief survey to collect as much information as
possible about UF's many web presences. We are soliciting input from anyone
who has any involvement with presenting UF on the Web, whether an
administrator, faculty member, staff person or tech expert. Each individual has
a unique and important perspective on his/her unit's needs for web publishing.
If there are areas of the survey that you don't feel comfortable answering,
please feel free to skip them. You are also welcome to forward this request to
others within your unit who might wish to offer input on this important topic.
