The UF George A. Smathers Libraries invites you to its next "Collaborating With Strangers" workshop:
When: Wednesday, March 21, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Library West, Third Floor, InfoCommons
Who: University of Florida students and faculty
"Hey stranger... Looking for a way to turn small talk into big ideas?"
Collaborating with Strangers Workshops are designed to connect students, faculty and researchers on campus during three-minute speed-meetings.
You'll walk away with new friends, more resources, solutions and creative ideas than you could have ever imagined.
Plus, you can apply to win a mini-grant for your collaborative project -- $2,800 in partnership with the NSF-funded I-Cubed Program (five to six awards available)!
Cookies and beverages will be served. Space is limited. To find out more and register, click on this link:

You are more creative than you think. The inspiration you've been looking for is right around the corner. Someone will soon help you solve an old problem. Big ideas come from one person. Bigger ideas come from two. An unexpected stranger will become your teammate. To reach your potential, you must first meet each other. You will soon meet a future collaborator. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
Sponsored by the UF George A. Smathers Libraries.
Co-sponsored by the UF I-Cubed Program, UF College of Engineering, UF College of Fine Arts, UF Honors Program, the UF Graduate School, Florida Opportunities Scholars Program and Women in Science and Engineering.
Funded by the Creative Campus Committee Catalyst Fund.
