Hello BESTers,
Big news this week for food waste digestion. The EPA has developed a
mapping tool for their Pacific Southwest Region (California, Nevada, and
Arizona) to connect existing anaerobic digesters to the food industry
and local governments. This will create partnerships between food waste
generators and farms and wastewater treatment facilities that currently
have digesters, allowing the waste generators to sustainably recycle
their food waste while boosting the biogas output of the digesters.
Hopefully this mapping tool will spread to the whole nation and will be
a major step forward to eliminating food waste.
Have a great weekend,
Ryan
