Subject: Admissions PDF Project: Uploaded Transcripts
Beginning this week, applicants will be given the option of uploading a copy of their transcript and degree certificate (if applicable) as part of their graduate application to UF. Uploaded transcripts will appear as part of the departmental PDF suite that was placed into production earlier this month.
All documents uploaded within the student's application are for departmental use only and are unofficial documents so it is important that departments refrain from printing these materials and sending them to the attention of the Office of Admissions.
As part of the application process, applicants will continue to be directed to send official copies of their transcript and degree certificate (if applicable) directly to the Office of Admissions from their post-secondary institution(s) and that is what will be used to build their Official student record.
The PDF project has been a long awaited enhancement that removes existing barriers for our applicants and allows us to present materials to campus departments in a more efficient manner. I hope that you find the new functionality helpful as you evaluate your application procedures for the upcoming academic year.
