Syngenta has produced Enogen, a new strain of corn built for ethanol
production. Enogen contains alpha amylase and is meant to boost alcohol
production and require less chemicals and heat energy for the production
process. They have two ethanol plants on board and farmers have begun
planting the crop with precise stewardship guidelines to ensure that the
crop doesn’t spread to unwanted areas.
