Progress Energy has given UF a 100 kilowatt solar system which will be
used as a teaching aid. It should reduce electricity costs by about
$15,000. The system will be installed on three different places on
campus. The Rinker School of Construction will use it to teach students
how to install photo-voltaic systems.
Money-saving solar panels will be installed by end of November
