Graduate Student Research Day is an annual event featuring research from graduate students in all disciplines. It will feature posters from hundreds of students, a panel discussion of Work/Life Balance and workshops on topics of professional development. The event will offer workshops on the following topics: scientific writing, finding a job post-graduation, leading discussions, navigating graduate student life, LaTex typesetting, and UF resources for graduate students. The event is open to all graduate students, undergraduate students participating in research activities, postdoctoral fellows/associates, researchers and faculty.
Graduate Student Research Day will feature a Poster Contest highlighting research and activities being conducted in all disciplines at the University of Florida. The highest-scoring posters will received awards as well as a monetary prize that can be used for research related travel and/or lab supplies, as well as honorable mentions. The posters will be judged by a team of faculty, staff, community members, and graduate students during the morning of October 23, 2012 in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.
