RE:     From UF Graduate Student Council: February 2013 Graduate Events


The UF Graduate Student Council (GSC) plans to send a monthly e-mail to inform all graduate students about events on campus that are specifically of interest to graduate students.

Here is the February 2013 installment:

(1) Men's Basketball Games: Tickets are FREE (with Gator1 card) to the #2 Florida Men's Basketball team. Tickets go fast, and registration is Monday, February 4 at 6 p.m. for Mississippi State (February 9) and Kentucky (February 12) games. (2) Free Campus Movies: Free movies are shown on campus at the auditorium on the second floor of the Reitz Union. February's features are "Skyfall" (new James Bond movie, February 10-14, 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.) and "Wreck-It Ralph" (February 16, 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.). (3) UF Career Showcase: Career Showcase runs February 5-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. February 5 is for non-technical fields like accounting, communications, education, sales and retail. February 6 is for technical fields like computer science, engineering, information systems, research and other technical fields. (4) Spring Student Government Elections: Spring Student Government elections are February 19-20. 

(5) HHMI Graduate Student Award Applications: Applications for this award are due February 18. To learn more and apply, go online to http://sfl.aa.ufl.edu/index.php?link=grad.
