Walgreens has just opened a net-zero store in Illinois. It makes use of
solar, wind, and geothermal along with super efficient refrigerators and
lights. They are hoping to extend this to most of their other stores.
This store is supposed to use 200,000 kWh and produce 256,000. Walgreens
is working towards LEED Platinum certification and is joining the Living
