The Research Group of Policy Analysis and Environmental Governance
(PEGO) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology
(Eawag, Dübendorf/Zürich, Switzerland) and the University of Bern opens
three PhD positions in Public Policy Analysis. The planned start is
April 2014; applications are due by December 15th; please see details

1) PhD Position in Public Policy Analysis with a focus on Methodology
- Application of social network analysis to Swiss water politics.
- Conceptualization or implementation of new methods at the
intersection of public policy processes, network analysis, and
political discourse.
- Workplace: Eawag (the aquatic research institute of the ETH domain)
2) PhD Position in Public Policy Analysis with a focus on Water
Governance
- Innovative bottom-up research design to analyze political
decision-making.
- Project dealing with conflicts and coordination across policy
sectors related to Swiss water policy.
- Workplace: Eawag (the aquatic research institute of the ETH domain)
3) PhD Position in Public Policy Analysis/Geography and Transboundary
Water Management
- Integration in interdisciplinary and international research project
- Dealing with micropollution regulation along the Rhine river
- Workplace: University of Bern, Switzerland; and CEPS, Luxembourg
