Hello BESTers,
It's that time of year again, when we all gather around big meals with
family and friends to celebrate the holidays. This also means that
there will be a lot of leftovers and usually, also a lot of food waste.
While it's important to know how much food we waste, it's also
important to know what kinds of food we waste. This article discusses a
study by the USDA breaking down the types of food households waste,
which is largely preventable food waste due to it spoiling before it is
eaten. This is a busy time of year, but let's all try to keep food
waste in mind this season to help curb the massive amount of waste these
holiday meals can generate.
Have a great weekend,
Ryan
