CRLA Members,

Please remember to bring an item for the Scholarship Raffle. Whether it represents your institution, geographic region, or personality, your raffle items transform to scholarship dollars. You can bring your item and leave it at the raffle table or registration desk as you register.
 
Also, remember to allot some money for raffle tickets. The more tickets you purchase, the more chances you have to win the prize of your choice and the more dollars you are contributing to the scholarship fund. 

If you would like to volunteer an hour or two of your time helping to raise scholarship funds, I will be in the Registration Area Wednesday evening, 11/04, and all day Thursday, 11/05.

Greetings!

I am looking for ideas, current practices, programs, resources, etc., on retention efforts targeting 2nd and 3rd year college students. There seems to be lots of information related to first year students or students at academic risk. What retention programming efforts do you have on your campus targeting 2nd and 3rd year students (who are not on academic warning/probation)?. At recent conferences, I have heard the phrase "the murky/forgotten middle" used quite a bit. Thanks in advance for any information and/or suggestions you can provide!

We do SI in about 7 courses and we have 3 Reading Specialists who do workshops, coaching/mentoring and reading support

Both.  We have 3 walk-in tutoring Centers.  Students come to our office to apply for appointment tutoring.  All appointment tutoring then runs through our Center at the Library along with the walk-ins there
