Connections Editor Dmitris and INSNA editor have asked me to start doing 
again the Ties & Bonds column I ran for about 20 years in Connections. 
Happy to do so.

While we've heard a lot about new measures (the uncountable ways of 
R'ing), one thing I am interested in are the new concepts that have 
emerged. I'm tempted to call that section of T&B "Beyond Betweeness").
