We kindly invite abstracts to a session on “Network Approaches for Understanding Collaborative Environmental Governance” at the 2018 Sunbelt conference in Utrecht, June 26 – July 1.
Session Abstract: The growth in collaborative approaches to environmental governance has resulted in increasingly complex and fragmented institutional arrangements, which are characterized by the existence of multiple decision-making venues and involve a range of diverse public and private actors. In this session, we investigate different network approaches for understanding the structure and function of empirical environmental governance arrangements across a range of scales and social-ecological contexts. We broadly invite contributions that examine aspects of social network structures of actor collaboration and/or actor participation in venues, as well as multi-level social-ecological network approaches.
Organizers: Jacob Hileman and Örjan Bodin, Stockholm Resilience Centre
Submission Instructions: When submitting abstracts (max 500 words) for 20-minute presentations, select “Network Approaches for Understanding Collaborative Environmental Governance” from the list of organized sessions. The deadline for submitting abstracts is February 1.
