I wish I could remember the name of the program. The person who would know
is Andrea Martin from the Breast Cancer Fund. The program I mentioned used
to be for treatment for breast cancer for those who couldn't afford to pay
otherwise. I don't know how they figure out that you aren't covered by
either Medicare or MediCal already. In any case, I went to a meeting of
the new California Breast Cancer Alliance organization and they indicated
that this program was not specifically targeted for those who had been
diagnosed by California's BCEDP program and couldn't afford to pay for
treatment. I'd ask Andrea for the name of the program and then call them
for more information.
