During the four days I was lodged at a golf resort in
Howie-in-the-Hills I was working most of the time, but I did grab a
few moments each day to check out the ponds on the golf course and I
watched for birds while traveling by car between Howie-in-the-Hills
and Leesburg. I didn't find any life birds, but the ones I saw were
interesting:

turkey vultures
black vulture
bald eagle (immature)
osprey
anhinga
great blue herons,
little blue herons (adult and immature)
great egrets
glossy ibis
common moorhens
kildeer
spotted sandpiper
n. mockingbirds
boat-tailed grackles
red-wing blackbirds

Many of the birds that I saw during the daily commute were
unidentifiable due to silhouetting, car motion, etc.
