Ditto in Oregon.  In New Jersey, where I grew up, we had electronic voting
machines, nice and secure from prying eyes.  The first time I voted in
Oregon I was very surprised - no privacy like a curtain behind you as you
voted, voters standing shoulder to shoulder (well, it seemed that way) as we
cast our secret ballots.
