The Glaucous Gull was seen today at l0:40 A.M. floating in a raft of nearly
2,000 Laughing, Ring-billed, Herring, Lesser Black-backed and Great
Black-backed Gulls. It was in the lake described by Paul Bithorn. When
heading north on Powerline Road, go l+ mile (Amoco station on right) and
turn left (west) into the north side of United Rentals/Supermix Concrete --
which has 1803-1818 on top of a sign. The lake can be viewed from that
corner. You can get closer (on foot) by going along the lakeside of the wall
to scope the gulls.
