This afternoon at St. Marks NWR (Wakulla Co.) I easily found the WHITE-FACED
IBIS previously reported. It was still in Mounds Pool 1, near the road,
about 50 yards north of the peninsula with parking spaces and a bench. It
was feeding with 3 Glossy Ibises. When it stopped feeding to preen in good
light, the red eyes were striking and the bare facial skin was entirely
pink.
