The Masked Duck was seen this morning from about 7:20 to 7:45 and, after much waiting, from about 9:40 until past l0 AM. Both sightings were a short ways down the north boardwalk and looking to the right (eastward). It was actively feeding in the open near a few lily pads -- would dive and surface in the identical spot. Shortly after the 'second' sighting, it swam into the dense vegetation. Several people got great views and photos were taken.
