Hello all,

Parks Small, manager at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, invites the
birding public in to see nesting White-tailed Kites and Florida Grasshopper
Sparrows.

Two pairs of kites are within easy walking distance from public access areas.
They are willing to assist interested birders with in-park travel to guide
them to the birds
if prearranged.

Florida Grasshopper Sparrows are doing great and can also be easily
observed from areas open to public vehicles.

For More Information Call Park office: 863/462-5360

The park is north west of Lake Okeechobee and can be accessed in a round
about way from Hwy 98 via 700A just east of Basinger or from Hwy 441 via 724
and following signs to park. It is best to call ahead as there is limited
personnel.

Good birding,
Linda and Buck Cooper
Haines City, FL
